Integrative Osteopathic Family Physician

Home

Kelly Sue Rothe is an Integrative Osteopathic Physician crafting seeds of thought through Cultivating Remedies, where she hopes to inspire and empower people to imagine life as a creative practice. She founded Mountain Medical Arts in Burnsville in 2003, where she continues to practice full-time. As of January 1, 2026, she retired her nearly twenty-five-year board certifications and academy memberships to pursue a more expansive learning, teaching, and writing career that more fully weaves together her experiences in culinary arts, yoga instruction, thirty-three years of parenting, twenty-five years of marriage, and a lifelong commitment to gardening, community, and spiritual practice.

In these challenging times, she hopes her stories of healing and resilience illuminate how beauty can emerge from suffering and offer support to others navigating challenges toward tolerance, connection, and renewal.

I encourage my patients to take a hopeful and proactive approach to wellness and frequently suggest lifestyle, exercise, and nutritional changes to support the body’s natural healing process. Medicines, when prescribed, are carefully researched, and their benefits and limitations are explained along with alternative treatments, when available.

My ongoing training in psychotherapy evaluation and management helps me identify unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors that may complicate and exacerbate physical symptoms and disease management.

Having seen the benefits of this holistic approach, I could never practice any other way.

Mission Statement

At Cultivating Remedies, our mission is to empower individuals to take charge of their health. We offer a compassionate virtual mentorship model that supports people in navigating healthcare choices, cultivating sustainable wellness, and aligning body, mind, and spirit.

This is an affordable, accessible, and patient-empowered learning platform — a gift of knowledge, connection, and healing. Here, you can explore therapies and practices uniquely suited to your well-being, supported by a team of caring educators and colleagues who not only advocate for you but teach you how to advocate for yourself.

Our courses cover a wide range of topics — from plant-based nutrition, movement, and mental health to chronic disease management and reimagining your personal well-being story. Each lesson combines diverse learning styles: video lectures, written transcripts, reflection questions, quizzes, curated resources, and an invitation to engage with others in a supportive online community.

While Cultivating Remedies is not a substitute for in-person medical care and should never be used in emergencies, we are here to offer a healing language and foundational knowledge — tools to help you co-create your path to wellness with your healthcare team.

Together, we cultivate the remedies already within you.
